The FLMSCDPA LMC (library media center) is hosting its Third Annual Book Exchange. The date for the Book Exchange will be a drop in
on Tuesday, December 13, 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM.
Between now and then, please begin bringing your gently used books to the FLMSCDPA LMC. Each book you bring in will earn one book buck which can be exchanged for another book. Please only bring books appropriate for 5th – 8th graders. The book exchange is a great way to have some “new” books to read over the Christmas break!
In honor of Hour of Code Week, we will be hosting a
Makerspace - Tech Time Event in the LMC during lunch December 5-16.

Deadline is January 27, 2017. Anyone may enter, but if you are playing the reading BINGO game (see file above), you must submit 1-3 entries in order to receive various prizes.

We have a few Legos, Snap Circuits, and several pieces from K'Nex sets.
Come see what you can build or create with friends.
7th & 8th grade may attend Monday through Friday.
5th & 6th grade may attend on any Thursday and Friday however, every other week, we have classes in the library during your lunchtime M-W. Just check to see which week "we are on."
We welcome any Snap Circuits, Lego or K'Nex donations to the Makerspace. Make sure you have your family's permission to donate those items.
Author Jennifer Holm will be coming to our school! Before she comes, we're going to have a few book clubs using some of her books. Click the "file" below this announcement to read about the book choices before signing up on this link:
Book Club will begin Tuesday, September 6, during your lunch period. You will bring your lunch to the library to eat and talk about the book.
The first people to sign up, will be in the book club. They will receive an email that they made it in this book club. Come by the library for a lunch pass to move to the front of the lunch line. If you don't make it in THIS book club, we will be having other book clubs throughout the year.
Children 12 and under enter for FREE!
If you have a Garland County Library Card, you may enter for FREE!

are TEAMING up for summer reading!
Monday, June 6th - Friday, July 29th
Registration forms for the GCL summer reading program will be coming home this week. If participating, please return the form to your teacher by May 16, 2016. Calendars of summer activities happening at the GCL will also be coming home. If at least 50% of the FLMSCDPA student body participates in the GCL summer reading program, Mrs. Keese will draw one lucky winner to "pie" her in the face when we return to school in August!

This is a great opportunity to pick up some good reading for summer. All items are buy one (pay for the most expensive of the two items) get one free.
We will be open 7:45-3:30, Monday-Thursday, and staying open late on Wednesday until 5:30.
